New Athletes

Your first time training

A New Athletes program athlete at full stride during a sprint

Your athlete's first block with us. We start with a gait analysis, then build a full four-pillar program around what it actually shows — a 12-week cycle aimed at one thing: expanding the space they can cover and create.

The first few weeks are usually the loudest, and that's the nervous system reorganizing rather than the muscles growing — it's where most of the change in the 10-yard comes from. The back half of the block is where force catches up and the vertical and broad jump move. Then we re-test on the same equipment, and you get the numbers side by side. "He seems faster" becomes a document you can hand a college coach.

The Week

Track 1 or Track 2.

Three days a week, every week of the twelve. Your athlete picks one track and one time slot before the block starts, and keeps both to the end — which is what makes the re-test mean anything.

  • Track 1 Monday · Wednesday · Friday
  • Track 2 Tuesday · Thursday · Saturday
  1. Mon
    Track 1 3:30 · 4:45 · 6:00 PM at KPM
  2. Tue
    Track 2 3:30 · 4:45 · 6:00 PM at KPM
  3. Wed
    Track 1 3:30 · 4:45 · 6:00 PM at KPM
  4. Thu
    Track 2 3:30 · 4:45 · 6:00 PM at KPM
  5. Fri
    Track 1 3:30 · 4:45 · 6:00 PM at KPM
  6. Sat
Max Velocity 8:30 AM · 90 min Atlantic Christian Track 2

Weekday slots are 3:30 PM, 4:45 PM and 6:00 PM. Pick the one that works around your week and keep it for the whole twelve-week cycle — the track and the slot both stay put, so the week stops being a negotiation. Track 2’s Saturday is the max-velocity session: 90 minutes on the Atlantic Christian track rather than at 514 New Road.

Pick the one that fits.

Every athlete tests in before they train. Which test depends only on whether they have been through a block with us before.

New to KPMGait Analysis →First time here. We measure how your athlete moves and score them before we program a single rep.
Trained here beforeEffective Range Measurements →You’ve already been through the program. We re-measure and build the next one around what moved.
