Private Training

One-on-one, by appointment

A KPM coach on the field between sessions.

The method one-on-one, on a schedule built around one athlete. Olympians, NFL vets, and elite prospects come here to refine mechanics, prep for the combine, and return from injury with proof they're ready — and the same door is open to any athlete who wants the room to themselves.

Three reasons athletes book private: a hard deadline like a combine or a pro day, a return from injury where every progression has to be earned back on camera, or a mechanical fault that needs a coach's eyes on every single rep. All three are the same method — just with nothing between the athlete and the coaching.

What a private session actually is

Private speed training at KPM is the same four-pillar method the group runs on — acceleration, force production, change of direction and top-end speed — with the athlete-to-coach ratio at one. In a group of eight, a coach sees every athlete on most reps. One-on-one, they see every athlete on every rep, which is what a mechanical fault actually needs.

Sessions run at our Somers Point facility on the same timing gates and jump mats the group uses, so a private athlete’s numbers sit on the same scale as everyone else’s. That matters most for the two deadlines people book against: a combine or pro day, where the number is the whole point, and a return from injury, where a physician wants evidence rather than a feeling before clearing someone.

Most private athletes still start with a gait analysis. The exception is an athlete already inside a KPM block who adds private work on top of it — in that case we build from the numbers already on file.

What’s included

  • Individualized, mechanics-first programming
  • Combine and pre-draft preparation
  • Return-to-play protocols with re-testing, alongside the physical therapy in our building, run by Spectrum Fitness Rehab & Peak Performance
  • Private and semi-private options
The Number We Move

Athletic Currency

The space an athlete can cover or create — forward and sideways added together, multiplied by how high they get. The bigger it is, the more they make on offense and take away on defense.

One-on-one is where a single component gets attacked directly. If the vertical is the ceiling on your currency, every session can be built around it — which is exactly what a combine or a pro day needs.

The vertical multiplies both other terms, which is why it moves the number furthest. Typical first-cycle figures for healthy high-school athletes training the full twelve weeks, measured on our own gates and mats — the range we see, not a guarantee.

Every athlete tests in before they train. Which test depends only on whether they have been through a block with us before.
